Hi again. Well we saw another blood clot hanging from the penis on my little haflinger. (just a little background, we were told he may have cancer on his penis or a very bad case of worms. We've been treating for the worms with hopes that is what it is). We also noticed that his stall smells again. We thought it was a "wormy" smell, but one of my boarder said she had a horse that had cancer of the brain and the horse had a smell to her. I was just wondering if anyone heard of this? The vet comes Thursday to recheck him to see the course of wormings worked.

Yes, there is a smell associated with cancer. I was watching Animal Planet and there was a show on a dog they had taught to sniff out cancer in people. However I highly doubt that the smell of cancer can be picked up by people. Maybe this womans horse had his hormones change due to the cancer that caused a difference in smell. I wouldn't worry about what she said. I can't really remember your other post but your horses injury(wether it be cancer or worms) is on the outside of his body so naturally it is very possible that you could notice a difference in how he smells. Good Luck! I hope everything goes well for you and your horse.
