No reason to be sorry... just need to be sure that you know the facts before posting. For someone who maybe in the breeding business it is extremely important to know paperwork. I deal with this a lot as does DB. Having properly completed paperwork is paramount to having a good breeding program.

Spend sometime reading the AQHA and APHA sites about the requirements for stallion owners and mare owners before breeding. Also familiarize yourself with the registration process. I do all of mine on line. That is the best deal ever.

Yeah Im familliar with the costs associated all mine are registered AQHA that I Bought as babies. My wenlings dam had to be DNA'd it cost 65 to get him registered and I know it only goes up from there if both have to be DNA'd and the older they are the more it costs. I think more or less Im typing things out faster than my brain can catch up with...I think I was also reading in her first post that she said her horse's father was a QH ( i didnt find a AQHA stud with that name in the AQHA database) so really thats all I was saying and as far as lost registration and getting it replaced I have little knowledge seeing as I cant find my rule book and its never happend to me.

LOL Calm down Nikki, it's ok to think before you reply. (just giving you a hard time). Don't get the cart before the horse. You are quite correct, she did say QH, which she was most likely told but if you didn't find it and Mary found one named that in ID, then we know someone got their wires crossed.

Both the APHA and AQHA rule books are available on line. The thing is that given the age of the stallion he is INDEED from two AQHA parents but the stallion in question had too much white to be AQHA registered. So he was correct in that the sire's sire is AQHA registered.

yeah I take alot of things very seriously...unfortunately. its from being told I dont know what im talking about all the time when I do Know and then when it turns out right no one admits thier wrong and my parents have told me this for years so its a little ingrained to fight for what I think is correct. though I try to be the first to admit I was wrong. especially on these boards like this I always seem to feel like im getting catigorized with those people who think you can get a grulla out of two sorrel based greys or those who think collection is something you do on the ground for halter or the ones that think thier bay is really a dark buckskin...OR the ones that think that any horse that has a set of testicles is a stallion that should be bred. and it just makes me fell like I should be pounding my head into my computer desk.... thats all. and we have just hijacked this persons thread

Haas she said her gelding...her geldings sire is the horse in question who is the one with the huge show record and is a sorrel overo paint. so because of wexactly what you have just said is why i said he isnt techniclly a QH. if he was Reg qh he would be but according to his registration he's APHA. its really a matter of sticks and straws...it depends on how you see it

No one may be yelling, but HAAS sure got a bit snippy... Posting on questions should not be reserved to only the people who know the most (or think they do). We can all provide valid information. And if that information isn't right on, then we can discuss it and help people reading/posting to understand. Using phrases like "first of all" when replying in the negative sets up the the tone of the whole post as not very friendly... If one wants to post that way then fine, but don't be surprised when others get defensive over it.

As for papers, unless you want to show in the APHA shows, or sell him down the road, it might not be worth the hassel and cost.

First of ALL: Luvs2ride79, Apparently you have never worked at a show or had to deal with this situation first hand.

Second of all: That probably makes for the difference in attitude about it. I have people bringing me incorrect information on horses based on what someone said quite often at shows.... enough to the point that I just tell them to please read the rule book.... all the information is there.

In Conclusion: I am sorry that you can take a factual response and make it snippy.
