Lucky you! I'm trying to get a mini, at the racetrack I'm at the mini club does kiddie rides and 4 of them race on the trot. I'm wanting to get a mini to race and do the rides with. The minis I'm seeing here in So Fla are either too old or too young.

We had a 40" mini we named Snack (the lady we bought him from named him tanker). He was a chocolate palimino (silver dappled whatever). he was so cute but a pain in the you know what. He kicked me in the stomach once and bucked my sister off and i got on after she got bucked off to let him know he cant do that and he tried to buck me off and we tried to lunge him and i swear he was stronger than the largest, most muscled, draft horse, he pulled us all over the place and then would refuse to go or stop, and the lady sold him to us for $900 as a beginner beginner horse. Ha, my sister (who is not afraid of anything) became afraid of him, and i was really annoyed with him, he was very very cute tho, o well. But we sold him and the people gave him backk saying he was gunna kill someone. He wasnt that bad but whatever. So we gave him back to the people who we got him from and the lady says she has cancer (totally dont believe her) and cant afford to pay us back for him so my mom being the person that she is said ok give us $600 by the first of the year (this was last fall). ANd still no money. And suprisingly she hasnt been able to sell him yet. Well whatever, I like minis tho and i like snack and i would have worked with snack but he was supposivly my sisters pony to learn on so.... ya know and she wasnt even allowed in the paddock when he was out because he was a brat so he had to go, poor baby he had a horibble life of we think abuse, maybe just mistreatment and starvation (he was in a small small paddock which the owner said was pasture with about 10-15 other horses and we couldnt find any hay or grain and the water bucket looked like it had been empty for at least a week and i filled it up and all the horses came trotting over fighting who should get the water first, poor babies)

Smokey is a very aggressive stallion. When he acts like a "man" he is not cute, but dangerous. I've seen him take down mares and a 16.1 hand stallion by aggressively biting them behind the knees until they fall. At that point, he either tries to breed the mares, or kill the gelding. He really doesn't hurt the geldings, but he tramples all over them as if he is doing something. wink

hahaha, minis can be a handful, last summer, we were at NY state fair, for our mini club, and with both my minis, lace and red, we won our youth driving class, and when u win u do a victory lap. Well, Lace started her victory lap, and got scared and it was all i could do to stop her. Then it was Red's class, and again, we go for our victory lap, and the applause in the Coca-Cola Colliseum scared him, and he took off bucking until the audience stopped, and only then could i calm him...Minis can be very strong when they want to....oh, and about the one that was 40", minis technically cant be over 38" so he'd b a pony, hehehe, andwe have one, that when u get on his back, he bucks cuz he cant handle the weight, so maybe Snack cant handle it, or he could have just been bin a brat, lol
