She looks like she's in great shape now! I wonder why she got so skinny...did you ever figure it out?

And just being my nosey self...may I ask what the jumping 6 feet comment was all about?

Thanks! And my vet said that because the foal was taking everything out of her. (she was bred with Sonya at the time.)

Actually I guess that was two winters ago not last winter because Sonya was a year old on Aril 14th. lol WOW time flys!

The comment on jumping 6feet, was about Chicky and I. I had posted a long while ago about how Chicky had jumped six foot one time out on a trail ride. Well me being totally ignorant to jumping had no idea how unbelievable it was, well I found out pretty quick and have been accusted of making things up. The only thing that I did in that thread that was wrong was that I said I could prove that she did, but I then went back and said that I was wrong to say I could prove it, because I don't jump, I don't really want to start jumping, and I don't know if Chicky could or would do it again. I just said she did one time. (My friend and I went back when we got home with a messuring tape and messured it.) Ever since then there are certain members on this forum that seem to swear they need to aggitate the heck outta me about.

Thanks! I have been really trying to keep her fit, and I'm still building her up.

Ah, ok, thanks for clearing that up. That's silly, don't let it bother you.

Actually, I wasn't being sarcastic. I really have been looking forward to seeing pictures of her jumping ever since you mentioned she could do it. Who am I to doubt what you say your horse can do? As you said, I am not even aquainted with Chicky. I didn't realize you had since posted that you didn't want to start jumping, so wouldn't be posting pictures. I am no one to say anything anyway, since I've never jumped a horse -- I only trail ride. So no bad feelings. And Chicky has put on quite a bit of weight, and looks much, much improved.

Thank you, and I'm sorry. I didn't mean to get so defencive. It's just that that convo about her jumping was a mess.

Wow! What an improvement...whatever you did, keep on doing it! She's filled out beautifully. Bravo! on a job well done. I'm currently working on bumping my 23 year old gelding's weight up a couple of pounds--doesn't it drive you nuts when one day they look fine, and the next it's "Where did those 5 extra pounds around your ribs go?!" lol.
