Arrow Do you remember the turn of the century?

If you have the time... could you answer some/all of these questions for me!!

What do you associate with the turn of the century?

What year do you associate with it?

Do you remember what you did that year on New Year's Eve?

Was the turn of the century positive or negative for you?

In relation to other events in your life, on a scale of 1-10, what degree does this event stand out in your mind? (1 being little, 10 being great)

ETA: could you also say your age (if you're comfortable with that) Please!! Thanks

Um, pretty much the only things I remember about it was that everyone was absolutely convinced that all technology was gonna blow up or something because of the double 0's.

I guess computers are smarter than us

It was about a 1 for me lol

What do you associate with the turn of the century?
"Tupid people saying that the world as we knew/know it would end because all 'puters would stop working so 'everything' would come to a screeching halt.
What year do you associate with it?
The new century (and millenium) started Jan 1 2001.
Do you remember what you did that year on New Year's Eve?
Yes, I was sitting playing on the 'puter. We never go out (Hubby's idea not mine).
Was the turn of the century positive or negative for you?
Positive - I have now lived in 2 different centuries and 2 different millenium! Fantastic something that my parents did not do and my G-parents were children when the last century changed but they didn't get to live when a MILLENIUM changed - but my son's did as young adults.

1 (can I vote 0) Not going to make a list of every thing that has happened in my lifetime because there are far too many happenings that have affected/effected my freedom/liberty/rights to put in a list here.
ETA: could you also say your age (if you're comfortable with that)
61 y/oPlease!! Thanks
Hope that answers your questions.

Y2K hype..Everyone ******** out-thinking the world is going to end, Jesus was coming, computers were going to whiz out ..I thought it was all ridiculous

What year do you associate with it?

2000-2001

Do you remember what you did that year on New Year's Eve?

hahahhahaha no, I can't say that I remember..

Was the turn of the century positive or negative for you?

Positive! New Year's Parties are always fun! Hahhaha so much more trouble to get into.

In relation to other events in your life, on a scale of 1-10, what degree does this event stand out in your mind? (1 being little, 10 being great)

Since I only remember the "hype" of it.. it's not something that stood out much in my mind. Especially I dont even remember what I did that year. I remember from years prior and after, hahaha.

It just wasn't a big deal to me. Just another year coming around.

Oh yeah...hahaha I didn't answer this one. Umm.. 2?

ETA: could you also say your age (if you're comfortable with that) Please!! Thanks
I probably wasn't much help

Darn it!!! I figured there would be variance over this... but I didn't realize most people didn't find it a memorable event... and if it was, it was more negative than positive. Thanks for taking the time

This is the reason I asked... so if you can think of anything let me know!!
Positive and Emotional Event Needed!!! Help!

What do you associate with the turn of the century?
Probably Y2K

What year do you associate with it?
2000.

Do you remember what you did that year on New Year's Eve?
Yes, we had a special meal (just our family). That was about it.

Was the turn of the century positive or negative for you?
Neither, really. I do remember thinking it was pretty cool, because I'd say the majority of people in this earth's history haven't seen the turn of a millenium.

In relation to other events in your life, on a scale of 1-10, what degree does this event stand out in your mind? (1 being little, 10 being great)
