yea - i LOVE grooming at shows! i groom for my trainer at bigger high level jumpers and eventers, and its soo fun. i get to watch her, and then the next week (or later that day/weekend, depending) do it myself i groom and show, so its all good

i go with my old trainer to shows and sometimes she rides (or i do if i have my clothes and saddle and all that) and ill help her or we just watch and critique

I enjoy doing it......BUT...naturally it would depend on who I am doing the job for.

I've been to one A rated show EVER...

And I was a groom.

And it was a blast

It was really relaxing not having to WORRY about things. I mean, you worry for your friends but you're just there on vacay basically. It makes it a heck of a lot easier for when you DO ride in the show, and it's so much fun seeing all the people and their nice horses...even if it stirrs up just a bit of jealosy :P And, since there were three of us...I didn't even really do much--I just made it so that no one else had to do much either

Cool thread idea

I'd DEFINITELY prefer to ride the show, lol...

but if it's between being there and grooming, or not, I'm there.

grooming is such hard work...

I enjoy grooming for the pony club shows I have groomed for... but I have had some riders I didn't enjoy grooming for so I guess it depends who you are grooming for.
