Ive groomed for friends before. I really enjoy it

I learnt alot from going as a groom before I competed much. It is slightly less stressful going as a groom lol

I love grooming! At the 4-h fair this year I got to groom for a family of four kids. It was so fun!

I have groomed for my niece for several years-and still do. I am VERY PARTICULAR about what a horse looks like before it goes in the arena. I have a lot of little tricks that I did back in the day that she wasn't aware of. My sister wasn't much into the Showmanship type thing back then, so she didn't paying a whole lot of attention to the little details.

It has also helped me keep my foot in the door with the horses and kept me up on what was happening.

Oooh, I LOVE being the groom! It's no fun grooming and showing though.. I'm responsible for braiding, grooming, and tacking up 5 horses other than my own this weekend. The riders aren't completely incompetent in case there was a dirty spot or something wrong with the tack because I was in a hurry, but they're beginners with money so they pay me to take care of it so they don't have to do the whole job. At least it pays for me to show!
