This looks to be the same thing you have. It is the 8th one from the top.

This is on the same page as the previous one. 3rd from the bottom.

The two bits above are also on this site....

I don't know if those are what you are looking for, but they seem like what you are looking for.

You'd think huh? Those oldies get quirks I'll never understand...

My husbands old gelding (who was 25 at the time and broke broke) actually LIKED and preferred a long shanked, ported bit with a copper roller. Crazy old guy!

He'd get super grouchy if you tried anything less...

NONE of the bits pictured here are snaffle bits.

I'll buy that it can be a pelham-type with the use of 2 reins - the snaffle rein with direct contact, and the curb rein on the lower, leverage attachment.

It would not be a good idea to just use a snaffle rein/direct contact with a shanked bit.

yea i know these bits are not snaffles... it is incredible as to what they are sold under
cowboy snaffle
cowboy pelham
training snaffle
short shank snaffle
long shank snaffle- the list goes on and on..
because i have been looking and reading for this bit for a while, i am getting a little savy on the differnt types of bits and usage..
there are some real monsters out there and for the life of me cant figure out why they are on the market....
i can only guess that people use them...
