do you honestly think your mare is 'good' enough to breed from?

by 'good' enough, i think we all know what i mean... conformation, temprement, the lot. this is nothing to do with money. PURELY on the mares quality.

Deffinetly, both of them have good bloodlines and both have amazing confirmation, very pretty and are really sweet. They both have enough about them to breed a quality foal and im not just saying it because they are mine...even if they werent, id deffo want a mare like one of them.

I have more than one, but my two main mares are def worth breeding (one's due to foal in July and the other had a baby in 05). They both have amazing lines, confo and are very proven in their dicipline.

Absolutely. http://www.horsegroomingsupplies.com.../8/7/ebony.jpg I've lost count of how many offers I've had on this mare and her son.

My one mare has several foals on the ground from her previous owner--definiately not breeding material. Not even papered.

Unless you are willing to take the time to prove that your horse has the athletic ability or excellent conformation in the show world, I feel you should not breed. Not only in the horseworld, but in the dog, cat, etc. as well.

When you look at all the unwanted dogs and cats in shelters and the huge debates on what to do with all the "unwanted" horses, you really have to ask yourself does the world really need another litter of puppies from dog, another litter of kittens from my cat, another foal from my horse? If you not willing to prove your pet is indeed special in eyes other than you're own, you do not need to be breeding it. IMO.

I think so. Her confortmation, yes. She was abused though, and can be pretty nervous. Were pretty sure this was human taught though...

Personality wise, absalutely. Isis is one of the most level headed horses I know, and she'll just keep getting better as she gets older and more experienced. Conformation wise... I dunno, her body has excellent conformation but her head is slightly too large for the rest of her. If I wanted a good steady horse I'd say yes, if I wanted a horse that would look really nice in a show ring... I'm not sure. Her head isn't THAT big, lol.

Conformation, Temperment wise, YES! Bloodline wise, NO (Only b/c i do not know her pedigree and she is not registered. But She was a brood mare before I bought her, I don't think she should have been though, maybe once would have been okay but to breed her like every year,NO!

Polly is, she has good conformation, and really good lines. Temper wise she is a bit of a diva, but well behaved, but I'm not how much she would like having a baby tagging along, Freedom drives her batty.

Freedom I'm not so sure on. She is a bit bench kneed, but otherwise good, but is still growing.

It's a moot point on both horses tho. I don't have the room, facilities, time, or money for a baby in the forseeable future. If I wanted I could have a free breed to Polly with an Andalusian stallion, but still gotta pass. I like other peoples babies better, I oooh and ahhh over them and then go home

Jess absolutely was, she produced two stunning foals, the first of which is now winning hunter pony classes all over the UK, my cousin who bought her from me is going to breed her again in a year or two and I will get the foal if its a filly.
Cory, no not in a million years. She's a nice mare, lovely temperament and pretty good conformation, but not "outstanding" in anyway. Saying that she has such a scopey jump on her i know many people who would breed her just for that thankfully I know better!
