Question Do you have apprehensions on speaking your voice?????

I hear from people time to time that they do not speak up on this forum, mostly in this area of "Horse Rescue/ Adoption.

Mosty in the horse slaughter area. The ones hesitant to speak up are the ones against horse slaughter, for fear of being bullied or not being heard by some of those who are pro-slaughter and would rather argue.

So, I thought I would make a anonymous poll and ask.

I ask that people just take the poll and leave out any comments. Posts blank on this thread. Just so there can be a poll. And, of course no arguments.

I posted in your poll, but otherwise have nothing else to say on the subject. It has been run into the ground in my opinion and there are multitudinous threads on it. The search feature works great for those who use it.

I post my opinion. I post my opinion of 90% of debates. Including this one, as there was no "don't post, just vote" until after I posted.

But I still do not get how Horse Rescue / Adoption has anything to do with Horse Slaughter, besides rescueing a horse going to slaughter.

This thread should never have been created to start with, I think its very disrespectful to post negative threads about the forum. If you dont like the way things are here or the majority of people that post then dont read what we have to say. If you cant deal with educated people telling the TRUTH about things then join an activist forum where your views will be welcomed instead. You cant expect people on a forum that is not an activist forum to want to listen to people harping on about the same old issues with the same old arguments that really dont stand up over and over again. Its really no wonder the threads get heated at times when you just dismiss the vast quantities of factual information that dont fit with your own idealistic views without presenting anything remotely resembling a legitimate argument to the contrary.

So you are saying that anyone who does not believe that slaughtering animals is a good thing can not possibly be educated?

Please read the following study. I don't think you can say that this man is not educated.

A Study of the Relationship between Horse Slaughter and Reported Cases of Abuse and Neglect - by John M. Holland – 23 January, 2006. For the full study click here.

Occasionally I post on slaughter threads, but it gets tiring having the issue go from good debate to mudslinging. One thing I wish we all could remember--we are all horse lovers here, and no one wants to see animals suffer. Just because someone has a differant opinion on a hot button topic does not make them a bad person. In a perfect world horses would be bred responsibly and that would greatly eliminate the surplus, but a way to control the breeding without infringing on the rights of responsible horse owners, well I don't know if it can be done..........
