Well, I don't get my horse's mane braided nor to I pay for it, because we band in the type of showing I do. But yes, I have paid someone to do it a couple times. But I've been showing for 8 years, and never once have I done my own horse's mane. My mom does it every time, and I don't pay her. LOL

I love to braid, and I get a little better each time I do it.

I always braid, no matter whether I"m doing jumpers or whatnot. I just like the look a lot better, I believe it is the finishing touch to looking sharp at a show

I can do the "eventer" braids, but not the "hunter" braids. Recently I have been braiding my pony's forelock before riding with a ribbon in it - to try to get the hang of it to eventually learn to do the hunter type braids. I watched someone braid my pony's tail once and that's how I learned how to french braid - I'm not good at it!

Actually I don't think I have ever paid anyone to braid for me, but a few of the mom's braided for me because I helped them out with other stuff a lot.

Always - I love it, and I ALWAYS pick faults with other people's plaiting. LOL.
