Do people grow out of it?

Okay, here's an interesting question...

If someone (teenage girl) gets anxious around boys that she likes and throws up/can't function because of the anxiety, will she grow out of it and eventually be able to have boyfriends and such without feeling terrible?

Yes Def. well I think soo ... you just got to get used to them ... when we're little we're basically taught boys are icky ahah .. not really but its implied to us a whole lots with all the gender seperation in school ( I think its sad really) ... now you just have to get used to them ... believe me sometimes they are WAY better then girls ... I have more guy friends I can talk to about stuff then girls ... I trust them a whole lot better most won't go behind you back like some girls do ... and they don't take things so seriously ... its just a matter of getting used to them ...

Yup, sure do. It's natural to be shy around boys! Growing up I hung out with more boys than girls like Bernardo.

I grew up as a tom boy, I get along good with either girls or guys, but you should NEVER tell any guy I know about personal problems/stuff, EVER. They are gossipers. I'm only nervous around the guy I really like, Bryce. He's just so cool that I don't want to act like a dummy in front of him. (He sometimes looks at me during 4th period science.) I used to feel sick around him, but eventually, I guess I grew out of it. Now I like to be around him. (We've never talked though, but I eventually want to try starting a conversation with him, when he's not around his friends.) It goes away in time.

Guys? Gossipers?

I have a hard time believing that (no offense). I had a guy friend who I used to talk to quite a bit, I told him a couple of secrets, and not a peep outta him to anyone, not even now when we're reeeally not close anymore.

Plus, one of my closest friends is a guy, we email each other pretty much daily (he moved away a while ago ). I've just never known guys to be gossipers. Maybe it's just me. *shrugs* Ya never know.

I dont get all antsy. My calm, almost stoned-like attitude, is a good trait IMO. lol.

my friends a slowly going from mostly girls too more guys ... my close friends anyways ahah ... some guys are huge gossipers others aren't ... there are some guys im not comfortable around ... but i don't think its really because I'm shy ... oits just there's certain things about them then I'm not a fan of so I kinda of keep my distance ... it always starts that way for me ... but then after that I become this chatty box that talks about the most random stuff lol ... I don't think they realize what they get themselves into ahah :P :P :P I think a insecurity around guys comes from an insecurity with yourself sometimes ... whatever it may be ... there becomes a time where you just except yourself ... I've never had a huge problem with myself but this past year ... I've just become happy with who I am, what I look like, where my life is ... basically everything I've lost a few friends >> not in a bad way we just have slowly grown apart ... but I've made so many new friends ahha ... so you just gotta break yourself into guys basically ahah ... its like a whole new place ... a place you basically have to restrablish yourself and become comfortable with yourself again
