I was thinking about this the other day and was wondering if you are dating someone or want to date someone do you care about looks?
My girl cousins and my sister say that looks don't matter for them as long as they have a nice persona and can make them laugh.My brother and my guy cousin say that the girl has to look "hot" and she has to be thin.

I haven't started dating but was thinking bout it.I admit I do have my standards and I don't know what really matters to me just yet. I do think looks might matter to me, but who knows!Lol.
I want this to remain nice as it is just me wondering out loud here.Lol.

Ok so looks are what initally draws you to a person but they personality is what makes you stay.Got it.

I know some people are around people who they aren't attracted to but after an amount of time they become attracted to who they are.That's why I asked.

Im extremely not shallow, really it is someones personality that draws me in. Haha.
Part of it is that I dont consider alot of people to be ugly by my standards.
In a real relashionship they dont mean much at all.

They do matter to some but not really to me. I think it matters more their personality. Now I am not going to say it hurts if they are cute with a good personality but they don't have to be cute to have a chance with me.

Hate to say it, but yes.

I have to find someone physically attractive to date them. Like someone said, "looks are the bait". They have to also have a good personality, I definitely wouldn't just date someone for their looks.

But everyone has different tastes anyway... someone who I find good looking might not be to someone else..

Well like others have said personalit is key, but also for how much they care for you, and Show that they love, you I mean it doesn't haev to be big at all. Looks are the Cherry on a Sundae, sometimes they're their sometimes, not. But to me it doesn't matter!

Looks matter.. but not nearly as much of what kind of person they are. It would be a cold day in he-- before I date someone who is hot, but a total jerk. My ex wasn't hot.. he was cute though. But he has the most awesome personality. He's sweet, caring, and funny. Likewise.. I don't need a guy all that much taller than me. I'd like to look right into their eyes, not up at them.

See, this is how I feel, though I didn't put it quite so bluntly, LOL

I don't find there to be anything attractive about a guy who doesn't WANT to look his best, and put effort into his appearance.

And I'm definitely quite looks orientated.. not to the point I'll date someone who's hot and not got a good personality, but they have to be at least decent in the looks department for me to consider them and then I'll look at the other things, such as personality and how they treat people.
