The width is indicated by the last two digits of the ten digit number. It will be 04 for regular width and 05 for wide

We had a similar problem with Weaver not long ago. Places change model number so often too that it is a little crazy. Looking at it, it looks legit. But I believe alot of the companies last day was friday and that they are closed until the new year, as far as saddles go.

I wouldn't worry too much though, it came froma rep dealer so I'd say no worries.

What if the saddle only has nine numbers? My circle Y gray Equitation saddle has the following number: 161128702

Circle Y Saddle numbers

The first digit "3" shows the level/cost of the saddle with 1 being the highest and 3 being the lowest (entry level). The first 4 digits is the model # "3330" - I don't know how to interpret that. The next two digits is the seat size "15" is 15 inch. The next two digits is the color:

00 Dark Oil
01 Walnut
04 Regular Oil
07 Ultra Lite
08 Pecan
18 Black

I believe the next 6+ digits is the date and unique identifying number.

Mary yours has fewer numbers because it was before they started putting the tree size on the numbers ... I "THINK" that they are the same until the last few ...

Yes that is a Circle Y trail Saddle. I have the ancient version of that...
If you google Circle Y Mother Hubbard you can find lots of them.

If you find it I would love to have it. There are several real Circle Y's without those tags too. Saw an Equitation seat at a sale without one. Often saddles that were stolen previously will have them missing... Imagine that.
