i strongly agree with this. my mare is 16 h and eats no more than half a bale a day, my gelding easily eats over a bale a day ( hes over 17 h ) danna weighs around 1200 and looks great. magnum weighs around 1600 and still needs more weight.

From the photo I'd say they are a wee bit on the plump side. But I would much rather see that than too skinny. Once you start riding the hay belly will go away.
