Do horses really like Showing ????

Well we got back from the show late and just dumped the trailer laiden with all the clothes and tack for another day to clear out.

Last night I was bringing my clothes out of the trailer, I had my blue show jacket in the suit carrier and my black one (just in case take it along jacket) on a coat hanger. I couldn't be bothered to walk around the track to the house so I just cut through the field with Bailey,Orlando and Monty in .. Bailey comes wandering over and sniffs the suit cover. I gave him a stroke on the head and carried on talking to Clare who was with me. Next thing I know Bailey has wipped the jacket off the hanger and is trotting off with it !!

I was laughing so I couldn't keep up as me and Clare go running after him ! all I could think is he will tread on it and rip it so we were both running and even Jess the collie joined in ! Finally he dropped it, (maybe something to do with a coat hanger landing on his butt LOL!!!) Jumped over it and *broke wind* bucked and cantered off up the hill with a smile on his face

I wonder if he is trying to tell me something .. humm !!

a couple of minutes late he is back for more cuddles like butter wouldn't melt in his mouth - oh what a character !

* I am only pleased that coat hangers don't have a boom-arang (sp) effect and come back and hit me in the head ! (It didn't hit him hard for the record - I throw like a right girl and I think it just distracted him - I wasn't anrgy as I was laughing so much with two girls and a dog running after him, but if he had ripped my Hobby Horse jacket I wouldn't have been LOL!)

LOL that is hillarious. Maybe what he is trying to tell you is... " I just did a show for you, now its play time." Haha... too bad you didn't have a video camera. That video would have been priceless.

Cute story BB. Your horse treats his show clothes exactly like my children treat theirs. At least the horse had the manners to carry the jacket on a hanger.
