That's so funny! He was so composed and calm in the show pics - guess he decided he had done his job for the weekend and it was time to give you a run for your money!

I know my horses enjoy racing, as they get so excited on race night. My mare actually gets mad and sulks if she doesn't race well. (and its a pain the butt trying to turn out a very upset mare who is sulking in the corner ) My big trotter he LOVES racing, his ears are up and his eyes are so bright, it is a joy to see.

My trotter offically known as Passed Ya and known unofficially as Jack, is the biggest character, he will beg for treats, and "talks" every time you walk by his stall, and he loves my 4yo daughter, (well, he loves her carrots ) he puts his head down for her to pat and nuzzles her, he is her "baby"

My show horse is also a standard, and he was very confused his first show, we were in a walk/trot class and he broke out into a beautiful extended trot and was lapping all of the other horses, and when he lapped the same horse twice, he had this look of "where's the finish line, and why am I not getting my picture taken?" needless to say, we didn't get pinned, but the judge did say his trot was absolutely floating I think he misses racing since everytime the trailer comes up he is so excited, and when we end up at a show, its like "aaaahhhhhh, no I want a picture!" So we have taken to getting his picture taken after the class is over and in the proper "pose" he is almost sad, the things we do to keep our horses happy.

How cute, he just wanted to play!
Now do horses love to show... I think it depends on the horse.. If my old mare had a crowd or a camera pointing at her, she would show off to no end, but otherwise she was mellow and downright bratty at times. Another horse I had.. forget it, crowds meant work, so he didn't like it to much.
