Do Animals Have Souls?

This topic always bugs me to bits. I am a believer in God and some people think that animals do not have souls, but personally, I believe that they do. They have to! They impact us humans so incredibly much. They make such huge differences in our lives! I believe that every living creature that God made will end up in the same place as us.

though if you google the topic, you will come across many sites that do believe that animals do indeed have souls, and even showing in the text of the the Holy Bible.

JOB 12:7-10

"there is not one such creature but will know that the hand of God has arranged things like this! In his hand is the soul of every living thing and the breath of every human being!"

ECCLESIASTES 3:19-21

"Man's fate is like that of the animals; the same fate awaits them both: As one dies, so dies the other. All have the same breath, man has no advantage over the animal. Everything is meaningless. All go to the same place; all come from dust and to dust all return. Who knows if the spirit of man rises upward and if the spirit of the animal goes down into the earth?"

I believe they do, but then I believe in reincarnation....the soul/spirit never dies....Cathy

I feel the same way as Cathy!! I will take it a step further tho, and say I believe in my heart that animals have a soul that has no comparison to people. Humans are devious and selfish. Animals only know how to love!!!

Of course I believe animals have souls; but I do not believe in reincarnation.

Well if we have souls then i firmly believe that animals do also! I couldnt believe in a religion that stated otherwise! We are all souls/spirits in different bodies (my belief anyway!)

The human flesh is that way, not the human soul.

I don't know about that... I've known and known of some animals that were pure evil... nasty, malevolent characters who's deal can ONLY be explained that they are somehow humans reincarnated...

it is the "soul" that makes the flesh behave that way though surely????
