DNA and breeding reports

just a quick question.

Can I get my stallion DNA'd request kit ( listing as a breeding stallion ) and file the breeding reports all at the same time?

I see everything is on one paper I just printed out from APHA..

i believe you can....

I sent in my colts registration papers, and requested the DNA kit at the same time as well....I know they won't approve his registration until he is DNA verified.

I did. I bred my stud last year and sent the breeding report in befor I sent the DNA. (befor I had him gelded) AQHA has no problem with this so long as they get DNA BEFOR the foals hit the ground. You did not say what breed your stud is, so I suggest calling your breed registry just to be sure. Hope this helps.

It all depends on if you're doing on farm or transported semen. Did you already have him DNA'd or do you still need to do that? If you haven't done his DNA to qualify him as a breeding stallion, you need to get that done and then listed as a breeding stallion. Send his breeding report in online after all your mares are covered.

You cannot list him as a breeding stallion with APHA until his DNA is done. Fill out the form and send in the hair and then you can list him as a breeding stallion. Do this before the stallion reports are due or you may have to pay late fees.

APHA is not the same as AQHA.
