Dilemma.. Which show???

I am trying to decide which show to go to... Can you HELP!

Both shows are the same weekend: Nov. 26-29.

Show #1: AQHA Turkey Circuit in Raleigh, NC (about 45-1hr drive). I can show my AQHA mare that I have for sale

Show #2: PHBA Show in Perry, GA (about 8hrs drive). I can show my Pally who I just one 3 futurities on!

Driving is not an issue. I love to travel and always wanted to go to Perry, GA. But I just don't know what I want to do. It would be nice to get my AQHA mare more breed show experience to sell her but I also want to continue collecting points on my Pally (praying I can go to world next year). I love showing both of them but I don't know what to do.

The cost of the show is about the same. Price of gas of course will be more if I go to GA. Any suggestions??

I would go to the closer one so you can "get rid" of the mare faster and be able to focus more on Pally. Then you can REALLY campaign him (both financially and time-wise).

Unless you have someone currently interested in your AQHA mare, I would go this route too. I hate it when shows run on the same weekend. I have that happen with AQHA and APHA here alot.

I agree with what everyone else has stated. I would work with your mare more, sell her, THEN you could really focus on Pally.

Thanks so much for the comments! This is exactly what I am looking for...

I am scared I will do good with my AQHA mare and then not want to sell her (already a hard decision).

BNttyra: I hate when shows run together... part of the reason I am having to selling my mare.

Its always hard selling a horse! If its for the better for her, just look at it that way!

AQ show, its too hard trying to focus on two horses, trust me I've tried. Think of it this way: if you do good on the quarter horse, it will have MORE people interested in her so you can sell her faster and focus on the pally.
