De Worming Schedule help needed!

I have another post going about my 12 year old mare and how she is a little on the thin side but has a large belly at the same time. I really think it has a lot to do with worms since she has never really been on a good schedule. The last time I wormed her was about a month ago with Panacur and before then it was mostly PP and occasionally ivermectin. I know...bad mother.

I just don't know too much about it and feel so over whelmed with trying to find out on my own. I have read some other posts about it but there are so many different schedules out there since every horse is different. I would really love some suggestions so I can get my girl looking good again.

So some info. I have one other horse but she is for sale so she will be the only horse soon hopefully. She is outside 24/7 unless going to a show the next day or it rains horribly bad. Her turnout is pretty large. I rotate her in one turnout to another which is a bunch of trails and woods. There isn't much grass.

Do you pick the waste out of the paddock? If so, how often?

How large are the turnouts?

I don't pick out the pastures. One of the pastures is a good acre or 2 the other is probably half an acre.

I could pick out the pastures if needed.

Picking out the pastures would greatly help you out as they are quite small.

Would it be an option for you to have the vet run an fec?

I would not recommend that particular deworming schedule as it does not take into account egg supression periods and uses two chemicals that are known to have varying degrees of resistance.

Oh, okay. I just thought it would be a starting point for us that are not as familar with products as others.

My vet is coming out hopefully next week to do my other horse's teeth and I was planning on asking him about my other horse so I can see about getting a fec done
