Daughters first APHA show this weekend

Off to my daughters first APHA show! She is 10 and has been working hard at the showmanship. Saturday will be her first time showing APHA and she will be competing in both Novice Youth and Youth Showmanship. I dont ever really get nervous to show myself, but for some reason I am getting nervous for HER. LOL. She has practiced alot and feels ready, and she will be showing my finished showmanship horse SO I really have no reason to be nervous! And she seems at ease about the whole thing. Just excited to be going. So fingers crossed that she has a fun and successful show! I'll post results Monday.

Well I'm happy to report that it was a successful show! While my daughter didnt pick up any points, she did get a second and a third out of five really great showmanship entries! (The youth that won was top ten in showmanship at congress last year.) She had a really nice pattern and looked fantastic out there!!! And Cash was super for her!! I am a proud mom.

No photos ....my hubby took the camera to a walleye tournament. Next time I will make sure I have the camera in hand!!
