Hi there.. from what ive heard (but never seen) head and shoulders can work.. otherwise i suppose if you ring up your vet and ask her/him they can probably put you onto a worthwhile product.

Hope i helped

the vets always give us iodine for skin conditions, but that doesnt help because there isnt any moisturizer in it...nothing to make the dandruff go away. thanks for the suggestion though.

Won't completely clear it up, but will probably help -- when you wash him, really make sure you scrub the skin under the hair really good, and not just the mane hairs...like when you scrub your scalp when you wash your hair. If it doesn't get scrubbed well, the dandruff just keeps building up, at least on my horses. Also make sure you rinse REALLY well I have had fairly good luck with the Infusium 23 conditioner, but have never found anything to completely clear it up. The Infusium usually takes care of it well enough that it can't be seen unless you really part the hairs and are really looking for it.

thank you. i was reading other posts and i noticed that a lot of people were recommending infusium 23 for conditioner and moisturizer as well. my sister uses that, so maybe i will have to borrow some from her one of these days and start working on his neck and forelock. thanks again for all of your help. i sure hope it works!

I find using a good mane brush works at dislodging it and as morgan too mentioned use a good oil so that it doesn't keep coming back.
