I can't make out the tag. Does that say Argentina? If it's Argentina, the saddle is probably in the same league as HDR Advantage. It's "new", but still, it should probably be priced like a used Advantage. Those sell for $350 or so, I think. Crumps always used to be imported from England. Then they had some made in another country or two. Spain, maybe? England is good. Not sure about the Spain ones, or Argentina. The company was B. T. Crump in Richmond, VA, and they imported but didn't manufacturer. They were bought out by Big Horn, which went under and was acquired by Amercan Saddlery. edit: some Crump dressage saddles were made in Switzerland and those are decent quality. Argentinans used to be the bottom of the barrel when I worked in the tack shop, But Ive been told they Hit bottom and made a comeback, depending on brand. Crump in general was a reliable brand in the shop, and I would basically trust it. Nowadays it seems like its the East Indian saddles that are POC.

I would say probably not worth the $400, but if you can talk them down by a hundred or so it's probably ok (as in safe and has a hope of fitting and all that jazz). I love my Crump a lot, but it is an older made in England model, and as others mentioned that does make a difference. I have actually never seen one like you posted, so no specific input there.
