Thumbs up Critique this Stallion and Mare Match

Here is my TB mare:

Here is who I've chosen to be her future boyfriend:

This stallion belongs to a friend of mine and you can see most of his babies on her web site though it hasn't been updated in a while. www.shenanigansquarterhorses.com The reason I've chosen him is because he is so prepotent. He passes on his fluid movement, great temperament and has corrected mares that are...uh, eh LOL. Plus I'd done some training with him a few years back and he was such a great horse to work with, still is and stamps that on all of his babies. We all always say 'you can tell an al baby from all of the others in the field' and it's true.

There are more photos of my mare on her web page: http://www.cnjtraining.com/Iron-Madonna.html

Now, do you think these two conformationally will be a good match? Anything that you see that makes you say no? If so why? List the good too. Be honest. All of Al's foals are really versatile, english, western and could even do speed, some of them are really nice jumpers as well. So I'm thinking it would be pretty open ended as to what I could do with this foal.

This would be the pedigree of the resulting foal.

Can't wait to hear your thoughts.

Unfortunately, we can't really tell you much about the match conformationally off those photos. None have pictures taken directly from the side, which we desperately need to critique the conformation of each. I know you probably can't get one from of stallion, but is it possible to get a side-on shot of the mare?

This is the closest one of the stallion...And it's really not the best to pull from.

I'm actually going to be over there doing training with their other horses sometime this week or I might run by tomorrow. They're really good friends so I can just say hey, I want a side shot of Al and she'll say Niki stop obsessing, see you in a few minutes lol. I'll get pictures of Maddie from the side tomorrow, if she's not feeling too spunky that is. Her standing still for anything is well...a miracle LOL

I agree - can't tell anything from the photos, really. Sorry! I look forward to more pics - the stud looks very nice, from what I see.

I can't tell either but I will say that I have a daughter of Page Impressive and she is more of a rider in build. I bred her to my old stallion KLR Reflection and they produced this filly who is an excellent jumper as you can see from the video here:

ROFL!!! OMG THAT WAS GREAT! I'm going to get more pictures of 'Alamo' tonight. His babies are all very similar in their movement to your filly. Amazing how that carries through.

I really am on the edge. I wouldn't want to cross that slim a mare on that bulky of a stallion. If she were a heavier framed Thoroughbred then fine, but it is just not something I'd do. Not my cup of tea. I'd personally not be that drastic with increasing body mass this generation either. If you think about it scientifically, it just doesn't work in my mind?

Could you explain more please? I'm not quite sure I'm following.

She's afraid you'll end up with a huge body on a tiny frame if I'm understanding her right.
