Critique possible buy

So, some friends of mine are selling this horse. I'm interested in hearing what you all think about him. He might be a purchase I make for my husband. He is an 8 yr old AQHA gelding. He's on Allbreed, cashes roan. Btw, please excuse my riding in the video, this was taken not long after I was recovering from my car accident so yeah, it looks bad lol everything hurt. I'm biased when it comes to him because I just love his personality and have known him for so long so I want to hear others thoughts.

that horse is off in his right front. looks like his shoulder to me. I would have him vetted. Other then that, I like him.

Yep he sure is off....So what makes this horse worth $4500.00. I would be concerned a little bit with navicular from the way he is moving and he has a huge body to carry around....Vet check for sure.....

Not to be a jerk but what does make this horse worth 4500? Hes really cute and I've always wanted a roan like that but he looks a bit heavy.

The lameness was the first thing I noticed as well. Sigh, going to bite my tongue. But did you notice his lameness the whole time you were riding him or is it just permanent?

I agree--he's very sore on the right front. A vet check is in order.

No offense. But i've seen horses just like that where sound going for around 1,000.
Theres no way i'd ever pay 4,500 for him, even if he was sound.

Agreed....Very ouchy in the front. Definantly need a vet check and possibly x-rays before even considering buying him. I think he is cute and could possibly be a good mover if you could get his lameness issue figured out, however I see nothing about him that says he is worth $4500, especially in today's economy. Just as crossmeout said, there are sound, well bred, well broke horses going for a thousand bucks left and right.

That is why I asked what made him worth $4500.00 cause personally he does nothing for me...I do not like his overall body type. Too heavy for my liking..Not super well balanced..If he is a super personality and bomb proof then that has value but the soundness thing bothers me considering they saddled him up and let you ride him. If they are horseman they would have seen he was lame and stopped the riding..Just my opinion though....

I noticed that he was off too, wanted to see if anyone else saw it. I've seen this horse a lot through the last few years and that was the first time I saw him off. I couldn't really feel it the whole time I was riding him just a lot of on and off. I know that he usually is not off so I'm wondering if this is a recent problem or if he was just a bit stiff. He is stalled a lot of the day so I'm wondering if that is part of the issue.
