Critique my mare?? :]

Hey guys, I'd like a coformation critique, as well as an eq critique, and a movement critique for Annie. Also, if you know anything about hunter/jumper, throw in some things you see on that too.

Annie and I both are very new to jumping, and were previously training in dressage. She's a VERY timid horse, and becomes afraid easily, I'm also terrified of jumping, so... yes I'm crazy. Haha. I just wanted you to know that, incase my jumping pictures look bad to you personally. Another thing, Annie is one of those sneaky refusers... if you know what I mean, and the fact that she even went over those jumps suprised me. Before that day, neither of us had ever jumped over a ladder, OR those heights. So... critique away

Stats:
Name: Zip It Nita.
Age: 7.
Breed: Reg. Quarter Horse.
Height: 14.3hh and a half.
Issues: Has HyPP, is a prime example of a horse with VERY mare-ish behavior [sometimes], and is one of those horses that trys to kill itsself. :]

Here she iss:
Confo:

Do what you can from those, lol.

Riding:
Dressage-

Stock HUS:

And most recently [and my favorite ]
Hunterrrr!-

The jumping pictures I'm posting, of the 2'3" ladder with a vertical on top, were of the first time we ever had gone that high, the previous being a 2' vertical, and before that, cross rails, and 18".

LOL. [our first time going over 2'3" and she's saying "I will NOT touch the rail!" and I'm saying "holy Christ! This is like my version of 6' jumpers!"]

So, do what you can from the pictures I've provided! Thanks, and if you have anyyy questions, I'll answer if you ask :]

You mentioned that she has HYPP. I know that from a treatment and management perspective it doesn't really matter, but is she N/H or H/H? And does she have any symptoms ...

She is adorable! And after multiple hours of trying to clean up a muddy palomino who is on a 30-day trial with me yesterday, I am SOOOOOOO jealous of the minimal white ...

Minimal white? Isn't that a paint thing? Annie's a QH. Lol.

Yes, she does have HyPP, she's N/H, and she CAN be very symptomatic, but, I've built her [and my] horsey lifestyle around that, and I rarely run into a problem with it. She is on Acetazolamide [a diuretic] daily to help keep potassium flushed out of her body [maybe that's why she drinks up an ocean every day, haha], but we ususally don't have to worry about it, because she is an extreme sweater with or without meds, and drinks a ton.

With that being said, there are times where she does attack, usually once every 2 weeks, but it's never anything more than her cheeks [that's her primary attack spot]. Before she was on meds, she would just... break out all over her body with the quivering, but that hasn't happened in almost 2 years, and she's VERY manageable.

I am glad that the treatment program that you have her on is working to at least minimize the severity of her attacks. (Just a side note, and totally not related to your girl, but it is amazing -- at least around where I live -- how many people seem to be oblivious, at least from the horse ads that I see, that N/H horses can have symptoms and attacks just as easily as any HH horse).

Again, she is a very pretty girl ... Minimal white wasn't the best word choice, I guess?!?! I guess what I was trying to say was that she doesn't have tons of chrome to have to keep clean ... Unfortunately, my brain had decided to shut down last night.

Yeah, I know! You have no idea how many times I've had to reiterate [to the barn manager, who feeds] the fact that my horse HAS TO HAVE her meds, or she WILL start up with the attacks after about 24 to 48 hours of being off of them. They seem to think it's no big deal. I've even pulled Annie out of the stall when she DOES attack, to show them, and they're like... "are you sure she's not just clenching her jaw?" [because her personal attack spot of choice is her cheek... ]. Seriously people, can you be ANY more ignorant?! I've even told them that if they don't give her meds, they could be responsibe for her death, and we STILL occationally run into the problem where someone forgets to drop the crushed pills in with her feed. >.>

Yeah, she's a pretty basic chestnut. Except her mane and tail. For some reason, her mane especially, is pretty much ALL grey and black hair [there's only any chestnut hairs on the top where her neck hair gets longer and ties into the mane]

Needless to say, I'm still one of those pampering owners that scrubs the socks to sparkly whiteness with a tooth brush and whitening shampoo. Hah.

Bumpity bump? :]

I know some photos got removed, but... I guess I should clarify on what I'd like too. Haha.

Just give Annie a confo critique, [I'll edit my first post and put different pictures up so you have a side shot too] and give me an eq critique [both jumping and flat] as well as a critique on how she moves and jumps :]

Thanks guys!
