In no way is this to come off as rude, I'm just being honest. You asked for a critque, so you get a critique =]

To most people I guess, you would look as if you have "perfect eq". But all I see is posing and sitting pretty.

1) You DO have good basics with good heels, a flat back, and your eyes are up. But other than that, I most see a young rider that is trying to look pretty.

2) In the trotting pics, Your leaning way too far forward. You need to sit up straight and roll your shoulders back slightly, but keeping that light seat at the same time to not interfere with your horse.

2) Your release is good, because you aren't hitting your horse in the mouth, but if you are as good of a rider as you appear to be, and aren't just posing, then you should be able to use the more advanced release of dropping your hands and creating a straight line from elbow to bit. But that's only if you truly are as good as you seem to be.

3) In the trotting pics, your hands are too low and too far apart. Plus, they are flat. You mare would go nicer if you gained a little more contact and picked up your hands to direct her.

All in all, you guys fit each other well. She's a pretty mare, and with a bit more CORRECT training, you guys could go far =)

This was not involved with any argument, this was pointing out what I see and offering advice. I told you point blank that if you guys trained correctly, you could go far. Is that rude in any way shape or form? I gave an honest, polite critique. If you think THAT was rude you haven't seen anything yet.

Some posters (not just on HGS and not just this OP) are mainly interested in reading how cute/pretty/handsome their horses are or how wonderful/talented/amazingly they ride when they request a 'critique'. Even if the horse is not cute/pretty/handsome and they are not wonderful/talented/amazing riders 'in your eyes'. A quick review of some of their previous threads might helpful in the future for you figure out who you might want to spend time responding to with 'a real honest critique'.
