Critique My Barrel Racing QH Gelding!

Hey guys! Im sure you're heard about Beau. My new QH gelding. Well the other day he was just standing there in the barn, so I decided to get confo shots! I didn't get the other side, just got one side, and the front and back legs. If you need more pictures, just ask, and I can run out there and get some!
age: 7.
he is out of dash for cash, not sure how close, but he is pretty close to him.

like i said, not the best quality, if you would like, i'll get more, just give me the word!

Not the best quality but:

He's got nice low hocks & knees, little bit of a weak rear end, heads a little on the big side, neck is ok, decent wither, short back, little toed out in back (which is ideal for barrels), pasterns look a tad long, but nothing major.

Do you have his pedgree on allbreedpedigree.com??

I also must say he looks under himself..but its prolly since hes standing in his stall.

From one barrel racer to another..
I would work on building muscle.
Go out and JUST trot him for a good 20 min...each day!
It helped Rayven TRAMENDOUSLY! She is SO much faster now!!

and thanks ash, but I dont need to make him anymore faster! haha.. he is a natural speed demon, but yes, I see what you mean by trotting and getting him more muscles in the bootay.

Every horse can stand to have more muscle..... especially with barrel horses. You must keep them in shape, build muscle and also build air power (lungs) constantly.

Walking & loping build muscle, trotting builds fittness.

i trot my mare everyday and shes already lost her hay gut and gots a nice big round booty now

Thats what i do. I trot for 20 min every day..and Rayven ahs built soo much muscle!
