Critique My Barrel Racing QH Gelding!

I'd like to see some more muscle--especially on his rear. My barrel ARAB has more muscle than your QH!!

Also, he has a short back and is toed out in hind. A nice compact horse overall though.

People that walk a few laps around the neighborhood lose weight and build some muscle, don't they? I would assume it is the same for a horse. It also helps to bring the heart rate up.

and MI Racer- Long trotting, trotting, all of it.

Walking- Doesnt do a whole lot. Not like it does in people...
Trotting helps there heartrate rather than walking.
Walking calms there heart rate..where as trotting there heart rate goes up, and gets faster, and potentially gets stronger as time goes on.

I am not trying to argue either! lol! Just to keep that clear!

Appy Lover, I hate to burst your bubble.....but I have been breeding Racing QH for many years and I can with all honesty tell you, there is NO WAY a 7 year old QH's sire is Dash For Cash....he died in 1996 sorry to be the one to tell you that! If that is true then your gelding is 12 years old at the very least.

oh well thats what his previous owner told me. thanks for the info. maybe he ment grand-dad. idk. I'll ask. but I do know that he is out of Dash For Cash. Somewhere.
