Hi could you guys please critique me and my old horse milly, this was a fair while ago but i would still like to see what you thought about it! thanks ![]() This is us trotting pic 1^ Me and Milly Jumping pic 2 and Cantering pic 3 v ![]() |

In the first picture you need to bend your elbows and I think put your thums at the top, it's hard to tell. In all the pictures your toes are sticking out, they need to be parallel and I think your stirrups are to short, In the first and last picture you seem to be pushed into the back of the saddle and in the jumping picture it looks like your knee might be coming over the edge of the saddle.

In the jumping pics it looks like you have the horses boots on backwards. They look to me like they are open front jumping boots? Please correct me if im wrong though Im not much for a rider critique but your horse is sure cute

I found a link to a set of open front jumping boots with a picture of them on a horse. They look to be a bit different then yours but the same idea. I hope that helps http://www.applesaddlery.com/riding/...p16519287.html

| Full Member | Yes those are open front splint boots. The purpose is to protect the tendon (not the cannon bone), and unlike Sports Medicine-type boots the open front allows the jumper horse to "feel" the poles, thus making him less likely to hit them.
