| Full Member | Cowboy Hat/Hunt Cap fit
For those of you that show all-around... Is your hunt cap (the kind without the harness), the same head size as your cowboy hat? I've been kind of looking on and off for a hunt cap, but I know nothing about the sizes. Thanks. |

Within a size one way or the other, yes. It depends on the manufacturer. My hunt cap is a 7 1/8 and so are most of my cowboy hats but I have one hat that's a 7 1/4. Stetsons & Resistols tend to be fairly true to size.

My cowboy hats are 6 7/8's (all three of my hats are Serratelli's) and my hunt cap is a 7. It's a little tight, if I could get a new one I'd definitely get a size or two larger. The best way to find out your size, is to put up your hair as you would have it in the hunt cap, then measure the widest part of your head, then look at the sizing chart for that hunt cap.
