| Senior Member+  | Covering a mare with foal at foot!! PLEASE RESPOND Mystal's baby is now 4 1/2 months old however we are in w inter now and its freezing! Mystal is dropping weight. I really dont want to wean them yet as i want to try and last till 6 months! Can you cover a mare when a foal is at foot? Thanks

  | we put a rug on our mare when she had a foal at foot we just left the back leg straps of it so it didn't interfere with the foals suckling. |

| Senior Member+  | Sure you can, and they even make blankets for foals..if the mare is cold, so is the baby...
