At home I use a Billy Allen with Dee rings but since Misty is over 5 years old we try to use a billy allen with shanks

I use a high port correction bit for showing. At home we school in a grazing bit or a snaffle.

Thank you! Finally someone else who schools in one bit but shows in another! I show Lucky in the bits I posted, and school in a snaffle!

I do the same, I never use my show bit because I don't want her to get hard to it.

The good thing is that spring loaded bits are not illegal for AQHA, Pinto, or Open Shows. I think that someone got upset at an exhibitor at APHA and made is politically illegal..LOL

I showed Jackson in a California spoon bit.I schooled in grazing bit, correction,twisted wire snaffle.
