Cost of Teeth floating!
I am getting back into the horse deal here, I am getting all my updates and information up to date, so that the horses I get will have the best care out there.
I need to know just how much approx. floating is. I am sure it is based from person to person!
Just an idea here!
I want to make sure that I can afford all the upkeeps of these critters before I get one!
I will never give up on you Chet! I will find you!!

It was about a year ago last time I had this done, but I think that it was around $100 ... with the floating and the shot to knock him out.

my friend pays 100 dollars everytime her horse gets his teeth floated. That's in Michigan so I dont know what the prices will be any where else.

locally basic float 65-75 not including sedation or extras.
sedation costs 20-45 depeding on horse
Extras-
Wave mouth
tooth extractions
wolf teeth removals
The lsit goes on and price varies.
I've paid between 65 up to almost 200 PER horse for a float depending on the horse and situation.

Any where from $80 to $180. Sedation and pulling teeth cost more, but I don't think it can be done well without sedation.
Just to give you an average for other things:
Feet trimming - $30-40, shoeing - $75-120 every 6 - 8 weeks. Corrective shoeing is usually about $20 more.
Annual vaccinations - $75 - 180 per horse, depending on what you give and if you do it or have a vet do it.
Worming - $10 every 6 weeks to 3 months, depenging on your schedule
Coggins and health - $30-60 depending on where you are.
I would suggest getting a cost sheet from your vet to find out how much certain proceedures are, including emergency procedures.
In the quiet light of the stable, you hear a muffled snort, the stamp of a hoof, a friendly nicker. Gentle eyes inquire, "How was your day old friend?" and suddenly, all your troubles fade away.

My friend who is a member on here paid $500.00 to have her horse done, but he is 30 years old and had teeth pulled, and lots of work done.
My horses normally cost me $60-$80
