| Senior Member+ | Copra in the US?
I'm reading up about Copra, and it sounds like a better choice than beet pulp... high fiber and coconut oil (SHINE). Is it available in the US? If so, from where?

It's not a "better" choice than beet pulp, it's just different - might be better for some horses but not others. It's like trying to compare boss with rice bran That said, I can't say as I've ever hear of something comparable here, but it's possible in some localized locations.

Copra is a good fattner feed. I get through TONS of it. Our horses probably get 2 pounds of it a day as well as other feeds. It wouldn't be a good replacer for beet pulp as it hasn't got the long stem fibre but is not a bad additive.

LOL thank you for the cooperative effort! I admit it! I'm a huge push over for fat shiny horses... and I enjoy making wet feeds. This to me is like hitting paydirt!
