That's probably a good idea. Some mares are fussy, although since she's been bred before I wouldn't have suspected that. Maybe she's nervous since it has been so long.

Has she vet-checked sound to be bred? I am assuming she has, but if she has a cyst or something that could cause problems. We had a heifer once that wouldn't take for anything, came in heat every month but never settled. Turned out she had a uterine tumor.

I had Steve do a FULL check up on her before I made the final decision to have her bred.... I wasnt taking chances on her... he said she's 100% healthy, no reason why she shouldnt have taken, he just gave her another full check up, and still NO REASON she shouldnt have caught and settled... so we're gonna try the all natural route, if nothing then, then I will know she's not going to catch at all...
