Conformation critique

Okay I have posted to have my horse critiqued before, but I have never had any really good pictures. I did my best to get some descent ones. So here he is all sweaty and dirty. He is out of shape right now, we plan on fixing that.

and here he is advertising the tailgator

His neck is long and his hind looks weak, but other than that he seems like a well-balanced straight horse. Nice color too.

What do you mean by hind looks weak? I never noticed that his neck looked long, but I always thought it looked thick. Thanks.

Hi,

I dont think his hind looks weak at all and a long neck is a GOOD thing!!! He is super cute! How is he bred? How old is he?

His neck does NOT look too long to me at all.
As far as having a weak hind, I think he needs more muscling through his gaskins.
I'd like to see a bigger hoof and longer, better angled pasterns but other than that he looks good!

I think his neck is set a bit low. His hooves look like the heels are short, especially in front.

OK I need more info. I do reining, for a reiner, his neck looks a little long and stiff-ish. There's just something about his neck, it looks like it attaches to his chest weird. A long neck is rarely a good thing, it's more difficult for them to go into a frame, especially in reining. His gaskin looks week and under-muscled. Just my opinion though. And it totally depends on which discipline you plan on doing with him. I think he would excel at Western pleasure, depending on his movement.

I was critiquing him in my point of view/discipline since you didn't give us much information.

He's a Western pleasure horse. Way before I got him they used him as a hunter under saddle and I think he even has a few points with APHA.
