Do you mind if I'm picky? First off, he has a short neck that ties a bit high, his throat latch is thick, and he has the blocky QH style head. His back is pretty Straight but he has a small hip for a QH. His shoulder angle is a little too steep. It appears that his legs are pretty Straight, his front legs look a little toed out, but thta could just be the angle of the pic. As far as muscleing he needs MORE. His chest muscle is not bad, but he has no mid-section or back muscle. That is going to take a lot of trotting where he is consistatly(sp?) collected which will also give him more muscle in his rear end.

I've been doing trot work with him...Do you think a neck stretcher would help? I've heard from a few people they help build muscle but im not sure.

It takes time to get a horse to become muscled and it starts with getting them light in the mouth so that you can collect them onto their hind end, then it takes lots of stretching and long and low trot work, but it all starts with that softness. Backing up is a great way also, which also teaches your horse to back well and to come on the bit (if done right)

I honestly REALLY love him, lol. I just really like the way he's put together, his expressions, even his color. I love thicker, compact horses, he looks like a little power house to me. He has a bit of a short neck, but i certainly would not put that against him. I like him TONS
