Colour??

I talked with Jodi and she thinks a coloured stallion is what I should go with....NOW I was wondering from you breeders...what are the chances of me getting a nice, black and white foal?? Veruca is dark chesnut and the stallion is a black and white warmblood.

What are the guidelines for colour when breeding???

well if you want a black and white foal, you need to breed to a homozygous black and white stallion, becuase you could still get a chestnut out of that breeding if the stallion is not homozygous for the black gene

Breed to a B/w stallion that is Pinto homozygous and you will get the pinto color pattern as for the B/w color...well..I really don't know....you would have to discuss that with the stallion owner.

There are several colored stallions whose services are up for bid on the Benefit auction and several of them are B/w and Pinto homozygous....you might want to check them out too.

We are going to go with a black & White pinto warmblood for sure. She said breeding TOTALLY calms them down and it's great to break them during that time. She will foal as a 4 year old and by then she will have the "basics" down and I can put her into serious training and I will have beautiful little foal as well! Im TOTALLY excited!

If not here is a link to his page: SEMPATICO
.... and be sure to cjick on the link to the "fun photos' of his first turn out! That horse has the most flexiable shoulders I have ever seen on a Warmblood!
Just look.... and he is just playing around in this shot!

And remember... he is one of the stallions whose breeding services is up for bid on the Friends of Ginger Benefit Auction!
