If her parent's colors are correct - liver, palomino - then the only options are chestnut or palomino of some shade. While it's possible for a smokey black to look liver, more often than not they are simply viewed as black. Usually the have dark blue eyes. But, either way, since the mare isn't around, it's impossible to know now.
