Color Pronunciations

Just a random thought since we are discussing so many color modifiers and patterns and had that thread on grullo/grulla. How do you pronounce some of the "odder" colors?

For example:
1. How do you pronounce Sabino?

2. How to you pronounce Tobiano?

3. How do you pronounce Overo?

I say "Sa-Bee-No", "Toe-Be-An-O", and "O-ver-o" myself, but I never really stopped to wonder if this was right before. I never see these terms in any official dictionary, etc.

Thats how I say 'em... I never really thought about it before, those never struck me as a word that would have more than one pronunciation...

This is how I pronounce them. Dunno if it's right or not, but I THINK it is.

suh-BEE-no

toe-bee-ON-oh

oh-VAIR-oh

and of course probably the most mispronounced color: GREW-ya/yo

Yes, I'm sure colors get mispronounced a lot. I have no idea of the "right" ones myself. I just say them what I assumed were right, but I was thinking about it today.

I'm really not good at 'phonetics' - also have an accent. - so -

sabino - sah - BE - no

tobiano - tow - BE - anh - o (or oh)

overo - O (or oh) - vairh - o (or oh)

grulla - gru - yah

That is how I pronounce everything too.

That is how I say them and how I have heard everyone else around here say them too.

I agree with the above, and I recently learned [from you guys] grulla is actually "groo-ya"
