Color possibilities

A relative bred her black and white tobiano to a buckskin. What are the possible color results? Woo-Wooo, I'm going to be a horse aunt!
I wish I could convince her that spots are tops.

What are the colors of the mare's and stud's parents? And by b/w do you mean bay or black?

B/W nearly always means black.

Buckskin is a color, not a breed, but yes, you absolutely have a chance at a buckskin tobiano.

Unfortunately the information you have given is not enough to give you an accurate estimate on what she might have. Do you have pictures, pedigrees, etc. of them?

Congrats and can't wait to see pics!

Sure, but I just wanted to make sure. That is the type of thing I would type in a hurry thinking I was being clear, lol

They're right, without knowing more information we can't tell you exact possibilities. However, considering ALL possible genotypes, you could possibly have any one of the following: bay, buckskin, black, smokey black, chestnut, or palomino, with 50% or 100% (depending on whether the stud is homozygous for tobiano) chance of tobiano markings on top of each color.

I had two buckskin tobianos last year. They are just gorgeous.

Here is a link to a colour calculator that will give you all the possibilities.
