If the cremello parent is actually cremello, and not a light Isabella palomino, then yes, this has to be a dilute foal.

At this point I put smokey black at the very bottom (as in, doesn't look like it at all), with palomino and buckskin being tied for first. The darkness to her RF pastern is awfully suspicious, and would make me think buckskin. But her mane/tail is awfully body-colored, and that makes me think pali
.

What color was her skin right at birth? The red-based foals tend to look pink.

Yes, when you breed to a cremello or perlino, this means the parent has 2 cream genes so HAS to pass one cream gene to the offspring, thus the foal will have one cream which means palomino, buckskin or smokey black.

If the sire was a cremello the foal cannot be a chestnut.

EDIT: LOL.... JB, looks like we posted the same time.

Since mom is bay, then smokey black is technically an option as well.

Can you post pics of the parents??

I have seen pics of buckskins that were born with a mane the body color and were thought they were palominos till the foal shed. Could possibly be a case like that. The foal shed will definitely tell all, though..

I'm gonna say Buckskin... I see a grayish tint to his fetlocks. Plus if you said he had black in his tail then that rules out Palomino. He is so cute!!!
