Christian Uplifting and Support Group

Horse Club Created by doublebarr

A group for our Christian members to ask questions, support each other by uplifting eachother and encourage each other in our Christian growth.

Welcome Brothers and Sisters in Christ.

This group was made to welcome new believers and old alike, share our praise reports and prayer requests with one another, encouraging eachother in growing in our Christian faith and our relationship with Him, and generally uplifting each other in our daily lives.

Please, before you post, pray for guidance and let your words be to His glory and at His urging.

New believers, please feel free to ask any question that is in your heart and do not be ashamed or embarrassed to ask. No matter where our relationship is with our Lord now, we were all once babies to Faith. Growth is found through seeking answers, and Grace cannot be given unless asked. Those of us who are not new to Faith also find growth through the questions of others.

Please remember to pray for one another faithfully and uplift those with their needs as they bring them to us.

Also, please feel free to invite others as you feel called to do so.

God Bless.

DISCUSSION PASSAGE FOR 12-29 TO 01-03

John 20:24-29

24 Now Thomas, called the Twin, one of the twelve, was not with them when Jesus came. 25 The other disciples therefore said to him, “We have seen the Lord.”
So he said to them, “Unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.”
26 And after eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, “Peace to you!” 27 Then He said to Thomas, “Reach your finger here, and look at My hands; and reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing.”
28 And Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!”
29 Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

Came by to check in on everyone. Its nice to see new people. chiefwhitetail welcome. I had a skin dry scratchy earlier this year I was able to get rid of it with a bit of care prayer for you and a resolvable solution.

I just though I'd give a bit of an update. God has been good to me and continues... I have a friend who's daughter is a pharmacist. She is trying to get me a position working as a pharmacy tech where she works. All of this was from a suggestion her mother (friend) offered me one day to consider so that I could better my job, income for me. I went and got the fingerprinting done and a week later I had my certificate that allows me to work as a registered Technician Trainee. The pharmacist said that is the fastest she has ever seen. She had initally told me it should take 4-6 weeks.
So far I am liking what I am reading and will need to put in some serious study time but I do believe I can learn it and eventually take the test and pass.
So God is giving me some direction now that I quit trying to figure things out on my own and ask him for guidance daily. My head feels much better now that I'm not constantly banging it on the wall..

welcome..always love to meet new sisters and brothers in Christ..Yes, I will pray for your skin condition..they are so annoying..if I may ask..are you under a lot of stress?? Sometimes that can cause our bodies to react and all sorts of things go haywire..so not knowing your case or cause. I will pray that the Lord will heal you, renew you in body and spirit..that you will have HIS perfect peace which comes from the holy spirit abiding in you..I thank God for the work HE is doing in your life and for His promise that "He who started a good work in you will complete it. In Jesus name amen.

    Hi,
Thanks, I was blessed this weekend,..by a friend of mine whom I have asked for prayer here. Arlon is a retired fellow from Texas and in his younger days owned a QH stallion by the name of Little Hanker. He was a cutting horse and he competed on him and stood him as stud for that studs lifetime. When Hanker died Arlon pretty much retired out of the horse business and passed it on to his sister and family who I believe still breed and raise decendants of that horse. He and his wife moved here to Alaska several years ago and he was instrumental in helping the Alaska high school rodeo team develop a cutting team..since then his health has failed drastically and he is unable to do that anymore. I was up visiting with him this last weekend. As we sat there at he and his wife's kitchen table watching the first snow flakes, big goose downy ones slowly drifting to settle on earth he said. " Everytime I see snow flakes like that it makes me think of the Holy spirit" he was quiet a minute or two watching them lazily drift down and I was wondering, ok..how is that to myself.. and he continued on..When I see the flakes, softly falling, so gently and quietly its just like the holy spirit. He never comes where He is uninvited, He always comes gently, and settles around you and you don't realize that He is there until you look around and He has surrounded you..So gals and guys..I will never look at big fluffy snow flakes with quite the dread that I usually do..thinking oh yuk, here comes winter..now I remember his words and it comforts me and brings me peace to see those big white flakes fall so gently. SO May the holy spirit wrap you all in His presence of love and fellowship with He who sent Him. blessings.

Our church band the bent bucket will be part of the intertainment. I a hoping to get out to the Palo Duro canon to watch the sunset Saturday evening as the program should end around 4 p.m. when I get back I will try to put up a couple of threads. I have aquired something in the last week that I need to share also but needs to wait untill I am around to respond.

Hi Jewl. Nice to see you posting again. You have been through so much and I consider it an honor that you would share some of it with us. I admire the way you've drawn closer to God and have let him help direct the decisions in your life. As the saying goes, "Let go and let God". He is in control no matter how much we would like to direct our own paths. Keep drawing on that inner strength that He has given you and you will be just fine, I know that.

Oh and ya, I care too!!

    alaskahorse,
In the eight months since Garys passing my bills have been met and I still have my horses, dog. Being left with no income and jumping back into the work world with the current economic situation has been interesting to say the least. My faith, love in GOD has truely grown. I have had a couple of things that require a pm. My current job does not pay all the bills but at least some. I am still holding my own through continued prayer and faith. I have a wonderful fellowship of church and other friends that continue to be there for me. Life continues through the grey and brighter days but it is all a lesson and "molding" of me for the works of what God has in store for me. I continue to put one foot in front of the other. Thanks for caring.
