I don't use that specific clipper, and I don't use that brand. I reccomend Wahl clippers.

I have Oster Clippers but not that particular model....I have the A-5s and really like them. My current set is pretty old (over 10 years) and still running and doing a great job. I do however take good care of them. They recieve their cleaning and oiling according to the manufactor's directions and I always use "Cool Lube" and "Blade Wash" when using them.
I know I will eventually have to buy a new pair and will probably go to the 2 speed Oster Clippers, just because I would like to give them a try.
I really like how easy it is to change the blades with the Osters and that was the thing that first attracted me to them. I did not have to stop clipping and get out a screw driver....I simply flip, slip off, slip a new set on, turn the clippers on and snap the blade into place and get back to work! It is even faster to do than to type it!
Hey, that is hard to beat!!!
I have heard good things about the Wahl...but will always look at the Oster's first because they have served me so well (and for so long) in the past....plus the ease of the blade changing!

I think I clipped with an old model of an Oster one speed about two weeks ago. They don't work that well if the blades aren't super sharp. It took two hours to clip one horse's leg. Granted they were all white, but still it was horrible. I own a pair of two speed oster's and the lower speed doesn't work well on thick hair. We rarely use the low speed because it just can't handle my horse's hair.
I just bought a wahl, so I'm excited about using it. It's the cordless one that Clinton Anderson promotes. I'm hoping they're quite, so I can use them on my cats!
