Clipper comparison

I am trying to decide which cordless clipper to buy to clip horse mane's bridle path....I am trying to compare the Oster Pro Cordless, Andis Heavy duty and the Laude....They are all in the 150.00 to 200.00 price range. I need something that I can take out into the pasture and all of the cordless that are smaller or less power simply do not work. Has anyone tried any of these or have any advice.

In my experience as a groomer I have used both Oster and Andis. I however have not used cordless. I actually have a set of Laube (pronounced lobe) Mini Micros on backorder.

Oster tends to be a better built clipper than the Andis. Honestly I do not know from personal experience about the Laube, but from talking to other groomers the lighter weight is an advantage, and they move the blade faster which gives you more power. Conversely the higher speeds wear out your blade faster.

Whatever clipper you buy be very careful to avoid dropping them, nothing will kill a set of clippers faster, once is all it takes.
