Talking Clinton Anderson is AMAZING!

Well for the 4th of July weekend I found out that Clinton Anderson was going to be near my house doing a Walkabout Tour, and I NEEDED to go. Me and my mom went and this guy is absolutely AMAZING! There was one horse that when he saw a trailer he would back up and rear etc., but after Clinton did some ground work and "respect" lessons that horse would run right into the trailer and he wouldnt come out. He did that by making him feel uncomfortable outside of the trailer by making a ton of noise and being loud and being quiet and calm when he was in. I would have never thought of that....lol.
There was also a place to buy all of his products, etc. and i bought and EZ-All(yay!), 2 Clinton Anderson T-shirts, a Long Stick thing, a Rope Halter/Lead Rope, a trail tips book, and other stuff that I couldn't remember hehe. Hes coming back next year and anybody who lives in New England........it would be at the Topsfield (MA) Fairgrounds (right near my house)

I have been to quite a few of his clinics. I agree, he does work wonders. His training is easy to understand, he's very straight forward, he doesn't baby them and it's all common sense techniques.

If you like Clinton, you'd probably like Chris Cox too

I hope you didn't pay more than $15 for the rope halter :P

What is "EZ-All"?

EZ All is a cleaning solution with a sprayer/applicator that goes on your hose. They have solutions for cleaning horses, trucks, trailers, ect. It works pretty good from what I have heard.

I don't buy much when I go to clinics b/c everything is so expensive. I use a driving whip instead of the stick. To me, a bridle is a bridle..... I can go to my local amish tack store and get a driving whip, a rope halter, a bridle, ect for a lot less. Rope halter about $7, driving whip about $10, bridle about $20.

I do however buy Myler bits. They are the only brand I will use b/c my horses absolutly love them and work great in them.

I usually buy clothes though. Gotta have a good ol' pink Clinton hoodie

I totally understand. I went to my first Clint Clinic last Fall. and "fell in love" with his techniques, I have he DVD set and a Book, and the "Handy Stick" which I Love (because my horses kept breaking my normal whips.)

I wanted to buy all his stuff too. but we didn't bring enough money.

Don't feel bad for a minute about how much you paid.

How much you pay for something is your business, not ours. You saw the equipment being used and it worked well, you had the chance to look it over and get the feel of it and it was immediately available for you to take home.

I have friends that pay $300+ for shoes, but I choose to spend less for knock-offs that do the same job. I don't judge them for their decisions and I hope they don't judge me.

If you decide to purchase more halters and leads in the future and want to go with a more economical choice you can find some similar products for less money with a little searching. That choice is up to you.

I'm a big Clinton Anderson fan too. I absolutely love his rope halter, I use it on all of my horses. And as Circle C said...he's very straight forward, gets his point across to the horse (he's assertive but not aggressive), he explains things very easily for me to understand, and I enjoy watching him and learning.
