CA comes the closest to what I was taught as a child/youth by 2 of the finest horsemen I have ever known. My Grandfather had learned under their Fathers when they worked for his Father and they taught Daddy. These men were born in the 1880's and they worked for my Grandfather and Daddy when I was little.

to; iheartrezzi - I'm one who is quite 'cheap' in what I will pay for a lot of things but after borrowing one of CA's halters - I ordered one for myself and it was definately well worth the price. (I didn't order his longeline with it as I already had 5 of varing lengths and materials). He was here a year ago on WalkAbout Tour and Hubby bought the stick (I wasn't sure I wanted it as I already had plenty of longe whips, driving whips,etc.) - for a lot of work I still like my whips but there are times that CA's stick works better for me. Hubby also bought the tie ring and I really wasn't to keen on him getting it either but it does work great and now I want another one to have for working with teaching cross tying. I bought a book. It doesn't matter how cheap some may think they can get a 'knock off' - buy what you want!

I love Clinton too! I saw that trailering demo about 5 years ago when he came to WA and I used his methods on my horse who wouldn't get in the trailer and it worked a treat! That horse would hop right on in after just a couple lessons. And he would STAY in even when I went outside and messed around!

I bought the halter/rope combo and the stick too I convinced my mom I had to have them But I LOVE all of it and use it on a regular basis, so it was well worth it!
