    Clear orange discharge from nose...

There's a gelding (about 13-yrs-old) that has a clear orange discharge from his nose. I was wondering what might be causing this and if I should try to contact the owner to have the vet see him when he comes out next week (the owner is one of those once-a-month visitors). He's had it for several weeks now.

    What color is your dirt?

Our dirt is brown. Just brown brown. Like...dirt. Um...OH! You know the color chocolate turns when it dries out? A little bit browner than that.

A possibility the horse may have some blood mixed?
I would call the owner and have the horse looked at.

The horse may have sinusitis sp?

I was worried about this too with my mare. turns out, it is just from our grain; it is sweet feed, and it has a reddish orange hue to it. So especially after she is grained, she has an orangish tint to her muzzle!
